Lewis", there are 3 volumes I've got most of his writings and those books written about him, but since we moved to this part of France they are unfortunately still stuck in cartons.
I was wondering what to read, and "the collected letters" sounds like a good choice. I have read several books in the past 4 weeks out of which 4 were NY times best seller I think sticking to the classics might save me from disappointments. Loesghost, thanks, I will get it. I have read all his fiction and all most all the religious non-fiction, but only a bit of his literary criticism although the bits I have read are good.
I read him a lot as a teenager and he was a huge influence on me: his emphasis on reasoning things through honestly in particular. I saw Eco interviewed actually he was one of the guests on a late night review and political program on French TV recently just after the launch of his "The Prague Cemetery".. Eco writes in Italian, but his French is totally fluent, and so I believe is his English..
